SAVANNAH, GEORGIA – No. 13 Tiger Men's Golf Ties for Sixth at The Savannah Invitational
The Tigers improved to a sixth-place tie after starting the final round in seventh. Competing against 20 teams, including seven ranked in the top 10 of the latest Scoreboard rankings, Trinity finished with a three-round total of 877 (293-289-295), tying with Kenyon College. The Tigers were just one shot behind Oglethorpe, which placed fifth with 876. Washington and Lee won the tournament with a total score of 855, followed by Methodist at 856 and Sewanee at 865.
Individually,
Carter Code (Calgary, Canada / Manning) finished tied for 12th after shooting a 74 in the final round, bringing his total to an even-par 216 (70-72-74). He recorded 12 pars and three birdies in his last 18 holes.
Sam Rossi (Los Angeles, California / Loyola) tied for 27th with a total of 219 (73-69-77).
Jacob Mason (Westminster, Colorado / Holy Family) carded four birdies, three on the back nine, to shoot a 72 in the final round, finishing tied for 30th with 220 (74-74-72).
Jeffrey Forster (Santa Barbara, California / San Marcos) placed 57th with a total of 225 (76-74-75).
Neel Sandhu (Southlake, Texas / Carroll) recorded four birdies in his final round to finish at 228 (79-75-74), placing 72nd.
