Whitney, TX. – The #12 Trinity men's golf team remains in second place after the second round of the 2025 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships hosted at the White Bluff Resort.
The Tigers closed the gap to leaders, the University of St Thomas, to just six shots after the second day of play. Collectively, Trinity improved on their day one score by almost 20 shots, shooting just eight-over on Tuesday. They also extended their lead over third place, the University of Dallas, who sit 15 shots behind going into day three.
Carter Code (Calgary, Canada / Manning) remains just one shot off the lead in second place, with a three-over score of 147 (74-73). Four birdies contributed to Code going two-under across the back nine, putting him within touching distance of top spot heading into the third round.
Neel Sandhu (Southlake, Texas / Carroll) is six shots behind in eighth place, shooting five-over on day two for a combined score of 152 (75-77). Sandhu had five birdies on day two, including one on the 18th to keep his place in the top-10.
Jacob Mason (Westminster, Colo. / Holy Family) climbed a staggering 15 places to tied-15th after shooting a team-best even par on the day. Mason was one-under through the first nine before two birdies and three bogeys gave him a total score of 156 (84-72).
Sam Rossi (Los Angeles, Calif. / Loyola) is right beside Mason and is also tied for 15th, improving on his round one score by eight shots for two-over.
Jeffrey Forster (Santa Barbra, Calif. / San Marcos) also made significant improvements on day two, shooting five-over to climb to 28th place.
