LAKE WHITNEY, Texas – Trinity's men's golf team wrapped up the 2025 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in second place, following Tuesday's final round of action at the White Bluff Golf Resort.
The Tigers finished second behind this year's conference champion, the University of St Thomas, which finished with a three-day total of 910 (304-301-305) for the tournament. Trinity shot a combined 913 (315-296-302) for the tournament, distancing themselves from tied third place teams Southwestern University and the University of Dallas by 34 shots. This is the 11th time that Trinity has finished second in the SCAC and the third time in four years.
Carter Code (Calgary, Canada / Manning) led Trinity by finishing in third place individually, shooting a three-day total of 226 (74-73-78) to finish at ten-over for the week. He finished with 11 birdies across the three days and just three shots off the overall conference champion.
Jacob Mason (Westminster, Colo. / Holy Family) shot a 73 on Tuesday, earning himself a fifth place finish with a total of 229 (84-72-73). Mason recovered well from a difficult first round, recording six birdies and shooting just one-over across Monday and Tuesday. This is his fourth consecutive season finishing in the top 10 at the SCAC Championships.
Neel Sandhu (Southlake, Texas / Carroll) also secured a top ten finish after shooting a score of 231 (75-77-79) across the tournament. Sandhu was just two shots outside the top five and improved on his 15th place finish at last year's tournament.
Jeffrey Forster (Santa Barbra, Calif. / San Marcos) shot a field-best 71 on Tuesday to move to 13th place with an overall score of 233 (85-77-71). Forster had a stretch of five birdies and an eagle across ten holes which led to a 13 shot improvement on his round one score.
Sam Rossi (Los Angeles, Calif. / Loyola)
was 22nd with a score of 239 (82-74-83), finishing with four birdies across the three days.
Code and Mason earned 1st Team All-SCAC honors by finishing in the top five, while Sandhu earned a 2nd Team selection with his top-10 finish. Rossi was also recognized as All-SCAC Honorable Mention.
