Game Three - Trinity 6, Centenary 0

Kriechbaum came out throwing gas from the jump, picking up four K's in the first two innings. The Trinity Tigers' offense woke up in the bottom of the second when Peyton Bowser (Arvada, Colorado / West) hit an RBI single up the middle to put Trinity on the board first, 1-0.

Kriechbaum collected another three strikeouts in the top of the third, holding Centenary scoreless. In the bottom of the inning, Whitacre had a leadoff single. She then used her wheels to steal second base and get herself into scoring position. A single to the left side by Mariana Garcia (Goodyear, Arizona / Canyon View) would then score Whitacre easily. Leah Gonzalez (San Antonio, TX. / East Central) kept the rally going with another RBI single to put the Tigers up 3-0 at the end of the third.

In the top of the fifth, Kriechbaum collected her ninth and tenth strikeouts of the day, a clear indication of her dominance in the circle. The Tigers' hot bats would continue to punish in the bottom of the inning, led off by a rocket double off the left-center wall by Carsyn Lee (Flower Mound, TX. / Flower Mound). Lee would later make it to third on a sac fly, and would score off of a defensive error by Centenary. Abigail Miller (Winnetka, Calif. / El Camino Real) then hit an RBI double to left field, followed by yet another RBI base hit by Angela Baltzell (Antioch, Calif. / Freedom). Altogether, the Tigers gathered three runs in this inning, putting them ahead 6-0.
