WACO, Texas – Trinity Women's Tennis took care of business against Concordia University (TX), earning a 4-0 win in the SCAC Semifinals.
The Tigers came out firing in doubles.
Lauren Tin (Austin, Texas / Vandegrift) and
Ellie Hughes (Austin, Texas / Vandegrift) were first off the court, grabbing a quick 6-0 win at line three.
Olivia Kim (Phoenix, Arizona / Desert Mountain) and
Ruth Hill (Abilene, Texas / Abilene) locked in the doubles point soon after with another 6-0 sweep at line two. At line one,
Trinity Levy (Camarillo, California / Weil Tennis Academy) and
Rosabella Andrade (Southlake, Texas / Ponderosa) held a 3-1 lead when the match was called.
In singles the Tigers stayed just as strong. Tin was first to finish, acquiring a 6-1, 6-0 win at line six. Hughes followed with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at line three. Andrade clinched the match fearlessly for Trinity, dominating 6-0, 6-0 at line five. When the match was called, Hill was leading 6-2, 4-2 at line one.
Lucy Nabedrick (Plymouth, Minnesota / Wayzata) was up 6-0, 5-0 at line two, and Levy held a 6-0, 5-2 advantage at line four.
Trinity will take on Colorado College for the SCAC Championship. The match will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.
