HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fl. – Trinity men's golf continued play at the NCAA D-III Fall Preview on the El Campeón Course at Mission Inn Resort, turning in a second-round team score of +7 to bring their two-day total to +25 (601). The Tigers sit in 17th place heading into the final round.
Leading the charge for the Tigers was
Andre Follmer (Austin, Texas / Lake Travis), who posted a steady one-over 73. Follmer's round was highlighted by three birdies on holes 1, 10, and 14. His consistency has him tied for 15th overall at +1 through two rounds.
Carter Code (Calgary, Alberta, Canada / Manning) bounced back from a tough first round to match Follmer's 73 with a resilient round of his own. Code had four birdies to finish the day at +1 and climbed 22 spots on the leaderboard to a tie for 85th.
Also tied for 85th is
Brody Grieb (Bend, Ore. / Summit), who turned in a two-over 74. Grieb's round included a pair of birdies on the front nine and a solid finish to secure his second straight counting score for the Tigers.
Sam Rossi (Los Angeles, Calif. / Loyola) recorded a three-over 75 in his second round. His day featured two birdies and a strong stretch of pars, placing him in a tie for 33rd overall. Rounding out the lineup was
Neel Sandhu (Southlake, Texas / Carroll), who carded a five-over 77. Sandhu battled through a tough front nine but rebounded with a solid back nine, with two birdies. He sits tied for 107th at +15.
