HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL – Trinity men's golf wrapped up play at the NCAA D-III Fall Preview with a third-round score of +10 on the El Campeón Course at Mission Inn Resort. The Tigers finished the 54-hole event at +35 overall, placing 17th in a strong national field.
Andre Follmer (Austin, Texas / Lake Travis) once again paced Trinity, posting an even-par 72. Follmer came out strong on the front nine with three birdies to turn in a 33, and held steady on the back to secure another top-20 finish, ending the tournament at +1 in 18th place.
Carter Code (Calgary, Alberta, Canada / Manning) delivered his second straight solid round, carding a one-over 73. An eagle at the par-five 10th and four birdies highlighted his round as he climbed 18 spots up the leader board to finish tied for 67th overall at +11.
Brody Grieb (Bend, Ore. / Summit) added a three-over 75 to Trinity's total. Grieb carded two birdies on the day, and completed the tournament tied for 80th at +13.
Sam Rossi (Los Angeles, Calif. / Loyola) battled through a tough day, finishing with a six-over 78. Rossi made two birdies but also ran into trouble on several holes, dropping him into a tie for 61st overall at +10.
Neel Sandhu (Southlake, Texas / Carroll) also signed for a 78 in the final round. Sandhu's day was highlighted by a birdie on the first hole, and he closed the week tied for 106th at +21.
Looking Ahead
The Tigers gained valuable experience on the NCAA Championship venue and will look to build on their performance as their fall season continues at the
Carla Spenkoch Invitational on October 6th and 7th.
