Trinity Women's Soccer (12-1-1, 4-1-1 SAA) returns to Paul McGinlay Field for its final weekend of the regular season, hosting Rhodes College (10-3-1, 3-2-1 SAA) on Friday for Senior Night.
Â
Last week, the Tigers split a two-match road trip in Tennessee. They blanked Sewanee 2-0 on Friday, then suffered their first loss of the season in a 1-0 setback at Maryville College on Sunday.Â
Â
Against Sewanee, Trinity broke a scoreless tie just two minutes into the second half. In the 47th minute,
Erin O'Donnell (Southlake, Texas / Carroll) sent the ball wide to
Alex Doran (Boerne, Texas / Geneva School of Boerne). Doran whipped a cross across the face of goal, and
Talia Camin (Houston, Texas / Memorial) finished low to the left corner for a 1-0 lead. The Tigers added an insurance goal in the 63rd minute after a long clearance from
Maggie Hartnett (San Antonio, Texas / Alamo Heights) caught the Sewanee back line facing its own goal.
Lila Brackin (Dallas, Texas / Lake Highlands) stripped the left center back, cut inside and buried a left-footed shot inside the near post to seal the 2-0 result.
Â
Against Maryville, Trinity pressed from the opening whistle, and Doran forced a save in the first minute. The Scots struck on a transition in the 20th minute, scoring on their first shot of the match. The Tigers controlled the rest of the half with 17 shots and seven corner kicks before the break.
Kylie Harris (Missouri City, Texas / Ridge Point) and Brackin each tested the keeper, but the Maryville goalkeeper made eight saves in the first half alone, and the Scots held on for the 1-0 win.

Bri Werner (Woodbine, Md. / Glenelg) opened the scoring in the 13th minute. She turned her defender off a pass from
Malea Cesar (Portland, Ore. / Sunset) and fired a shot from outside the 18-yard box into the upper corner.
Hanna Khan (Southlake, Texas / Carroll) doubled the lead in the 29th minute. Werner collected a leading ball from
Madisyn Barganski (Corpus Christi, Texas / Flour Bluff) and carried it across the box to Khan, who took one touch and drove a low shot into the far side netting. Werner sealed it six minutes into the second half, tapping home Khan's cross from inside the six-yard box.
