HOUSTON, TEXAS – No. 17 Trinity Men's Golf surged in the final round to finish second at the Space City Classic.
The Tigers posted the best round of the day, firing a one-under-par 283 to close the tournament at +4 (856). Thirteenth-ranked Southwestern claimed the team title at +1 (853) after shooting a 288 (+4) in the final round. Third-ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor finished third at +7 (859) following a 286 (+2) today, while St. Thomas placed fourth at +12 (864). Texas Lutheran and Hardin-Simmons tied for fifth at +35 (887), and Concordia (+54, 906) and Millsaps (+84, 936) rounded out the field.
Sam Rossi (Los Angeles, California / Loyola) led the Tigers with an impressive two-under-par 69. Rossi caught fire on the back nine, recording four birdies over his final nine holes to post a 32 (-3) and secure a fourth-place individual finish for the tournament.
Carter Code (Calgary, Alberta, Canada / Manning) also delivered a strong performance with a one-under 70. After a one-over front nine, Code rallied with three birdies on the back to shoot a 33 (-2), finishing just outside the top 10 in 11th place.
Jeffrey Forster (Santa Barbara, California / San Marcos) finished one spot behind Code in 12th place. Forster shot a 74 (+2) on the day but ended his round on a high note with back-to-back birdies on his final two holes. Andre Follmer (Austin, Texas / Westlake) turned in an even-par 72, highlighted by three birdies and a one-under 35 on the front nine to finish 16th overall.
Neel Sandhu (Southlake, Texas / Carroll) carded a 76 (+5) in the final round to finish 14th individually, while Ethan Sullivan (Norfolk, Massachusetts / King Philip) shot a 73 (+2) with three birdies during his round.

The Tigers will take a brief break before returning to action at the Greystone Invitational in Tennessee on March 30–31.
