CANTON, Ga. – Trinity University had more than 200 student-athletes named to the Southern Athletic Association Academic Honor Roll for the winter and spring sports seasons, with 17 additional individuals selected for the Sigma Alpha Alpha Honor Society.
The Sigma Alpha Alpha Honor Society is one of the most prestigious honors in the conference. Student-athletes must have excelled both athletically and academically in their playing careers. To qualify, student-athletes must have been a graduating senior and posted a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. They also must have earned a place on either the All-SAA First-Team or All-SAA Second-Team at least once in their playing career and have had competed in their senior season.

Bri Werner (Woodbine, Md. / Glenelg) from women's soccer,
Jordan Arce (Thousand Oaks, Calif. / Thousand Oaks) from softball,
William Walker (Houston, Texas / Westside) from men's swimming & diving,
Neely Burns (Phoenix, Ariz. / Thunderbird) and
Audrey Jacobson (Dallas, Texas / School for the Talented and Gifted) from women's swimming & diving,
Bocar Diagana (Edina, Minn. / Edina),
Thomas Melina Raab (Austin, Texas / McCallum), and
Logan Nasky (Irving, Texas / MacArthur) from men's track & field,
Josette Gurule (Santa Fe, N.M. / Academy for Technology and the Classics) from women's track & field, and

Reagan Whatley (The Woodlands, Texas / The Woodlands) from volleyball.
To qualify for the honor roll, student-athletes from the SAA's member schools must have posted a minimum GPA of 3.25 for the semester and been a member of a conference-sponsored varsity sport. The Winter/Spring 2026 Honor Roll includes the sports of: Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Men's Swimming & Diving, Women's Swimming & Diving, Baseball, Softball, Men's Golf, Women's Golf, Men's Lacrosse, Women's Lacrosse, Men's Tennis, Women's Tennis, Men's Track & Field and Women's Track & Field. Student-athletes who meet the criteria are submitted to the SAA by each member institution.
Trinity had 232 SAA Honor Roll members among its winter and spring sports during the 2025-26 school year. Swimming & diving had 19 men and 20 women make the list, while men's basketball saw 10 players honored, and women's basketball featured 14 players on the honor roll. There were 72 track & field student-athletes that qualified, including 34 from the men's team and 38 from the women's team. Baseball had the most of any individual team this semester, with 45 players earning the recognition. Softball finished with 22 honor roll recipients, while men's golf had 10 and women's golf had six. Finally, six men's tennis players and eight women's tennis players received the accolades.
