KINGSLAND, Texas – Trinity University's Women's Golf Team finished second in the Texas Legends Cup, led by individual winner Erica Lee (Prosper, Texas / Prosper).

The Trinity Tigers finished the Texas Legends Cup with a ten-over total over two rounds. In first is Mary Hardin-Baylor, finishing at five-over, and Southwestern finished third with a +43 total. The field averaged 83.26 over the two rounds, proving the course to be difficult, yet scoreable. The Tigers brought the heat on Mary Hardin Baylor, giving them the means to beat Trinity's previous one day record of 297 by 12 strokes. 

Lee took home the individual win with scores of 72-68. Her second round was highlighted by a nearly clean scorecard, including four birdies and a hole-in-one on the fourth hole, playing 134 yards. After going into a playoff, Lee birdied the third hole to pull off the win. With a career-low round of four-under, Lee matches Trinity's one-day and two-day records. 

Mason Fikes (Dallas, Texas / Plano West) completed the podium with scores of 75-69. She beat her previous career low of even par by three strokes, therefore moving her two-day career best to even. Fikes carded four birdies through today's round, putting her at T7 for total birdies of the event. 

Jennie Dong (Fulshear, Texas / Jordan) rounded out the event with a two over total, carding a two-under total through today's second round. With two nearly clean scorecards, Dong finished the event with three birdies and twenty-nine pars. Like Lee and Fikes, Dong entered a new career-low round with her two-under finish today. 

Natalie Lewis (El Paso, Texas / Coronado) finished today's round with a six-over 78, putting her at T22 for the event. Carding twenty-one pars throughout the tournament, Lewis' consistency added to Trinity's depth in delivering a podium finish. 

Naaz Mehta (Newtown, Pa. / Council Rock North) finished T28 for the event, carding a ten-over 82 for her final round. 

Sabrina Nader (Houston, Texas / The Kinkaid School) bounced back in today's final round, carding a three-over 75, putting her T13 in the individual field. Carding four birdies throughout the event, Nader climbed the leaderboard by eight. 

Lauren Huddleston (Anthem, Ariz. / Boulder Creek) played strong throughout the event, finishing with a +12 total, carding scores of 74-82. With five total birdies, Huddleston sits T6 for most birdies in the field.

The Tigers will take on their home event, The Carla Spenkoch Invitational, from October 12-13 at the Quarry Golf Club.
