LEXINGTON, Ky. – Trinity University's Men's Golf Team sits in first after 36 holes at The Big Blue Course of The University Club of Kentucky.
The par-72 layout stretched 6,926 yards and had a field scoring average of 74.77. Despite the challenge, the Tigers fought to keep the lead, carding a thirteen-under total (276–287) over the first two rounds. Mary Hardin-Baylor comes up close in second at -12 and Shenandoah comes in third at -7.
Individually,
Andre Follmer (Austin, Texas / Lake Travis) led the Tigers with rounds of two-under and is currently five-under in round two, for a current seven-under total. Over the two rounds, Follmer carded 10 birdies and an eagle, putting him in a tie for the lead.
Jeffery Forster (Santa Barbara, Calif. / San Marcos) and
Ethan Sullivan (Norfolk, Mass. / King Philip) joined Follmer under par, giving Trinity an extra step up on the field. Forster posted scores of 66 and is currently two-over in round two, while Sullivan finished with rounds of 70 and is even through the second round. Forster's round-one score of six-under par was the lowest of the day, helping the Tigers maintain their lead and set him up for round 3, tied for sixth place. Sullivan's eight birdies for the day kept him steady and put him in solo tenth going into round three.
Brody Grieb (Bend, Ore. / Summit) is currently three-over finishing the first two rounds with scores of one-over and two-over, putting him in T33. Throughout the day, Grieb carded five birdies and an eagle, helping him remain consistent heading into tomorrow's final round.
Sam Rossi (Los Angeles, Calif. Loyola) finished the day with scores of two-under and four-over. With six birdies over his first two rounds, Rossi played steady throughout the day. He will start round three T24 with a two-over total.

With play suspended due to darkness, round-two will be completed tomorrow morning. The Trinity Tigers will return to the Big Blue Course tomorrow, looking to keep their lead into the final round of the Transylvania Fall Invitational.
