LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 15 Trinity Men's Golf team starts their season strong with a runner up finish at the Transylvania Fall Invitational, held at the Big Blue Course of The University Club of Kentucky. The Tigers finished -19 (569), behind Mary Hardin-Baylor who took the title with a score of -23 (565). Illinois Wesleyan rounded off the podium with a -17 (571) total.

Jeffery Forster (Santa Barbara, Calif. / San Marcos) led the team with a seven-under total over the three rounds (66-74-69). With two rounds under par, including nine birdies and an eagle, Forster finished T4 individually. Keeping steady over three rounds, his 40 pars helped Trinity stay on top.

Andre Follmer (Austin, Texas / Lake Travis) finished T7 for the event, carding a six-under total (70-67-73). Follmer's strong second round of five-under par kept the Tigers in contention for a top finish. With twelve birdies throughout the event, he remained consistent and finished T10 in most birdies amongst the field. 

Ethan Sullivan (Norfolk, Mass. / King Philip) was dependable throughout the event, carding a two-under total (70-72-72). His final round included five birdies, giving him an even finish for the tournament. Sullivan finished strong at T14 in the field. 

Brody Grieb (Bend, Ore. / Summit) finished strong in his final round, scoring a three-under par, 69. With an eagle on hole five in two out of the three rounds, Grieb tied for most eagles in the field. At T17, he finished with a one-under total (73-73-69).

Sam Rossi (Los Angeles, Calif. Loyola) finished with a four-over total with rounds of 70-76-74. Over the three rounds, he carded eight birdies, keeping him consistent for the event.
