Tyrone Christian

Tyrone Christian will enter his seventh year as Trinity football’s Director of Player Development with a specialization in Leadership and Character when the 2024 season kicks off.

Coach Christian Co-leads with his wife Sharon, My Friend’s Heart for Nations, an international organization outreach that trains and conducts missionary works in numerous places such as Nigeria, Central and South America,  Northern India and Mexico. He also served as a character development consultant for San Antonio’s Southwest High School from 2005-2007.

He joined the military in 1986 and became a Tactical Satellite chief and Master trainer. Christian fought in Desert Storm/Desert Shield in 1990-91 and earned a Bronze Star.

Coach Christian left the military in 1993 and became a test engineer for the Motorola Corporation. In 1998, Christian became an Associate pastor of My Friend’s House Christian Fellowship.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technologies from DeVry Institute in 1986 and a Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling, as well as a Masters in Biblical Counseling - both from Liberty University. A native of Richmond, Virginia Coach Christian graduated from Jefferson/Huguenot/Withe High School.

Coach Christian and his wife, Sharon, have been married for 39 years. They have three daughters, Chantelle, Brittany, and Rachel. The couple also has six grandchildren, Haylee, Addison, Caleb, Ashton, and Micah and Malakia.
