Cameron Hill ‘99 returns for his 14th season as the head coach of the Trinity University Women’s Basketball program during the 2025-26 season.

During the 2024-25 season, the Tigers boasted a 16-12 (10-6 SCAC) record. After going into the SCAC Tournament as the third seed, the squad worked their way and knocked off top-seeded McMurry to advance to the SCAC Championship. Unfortunately, the Tigers fell short in the championship game against Texas Lutheran. Josie Napoli was named 1st Team All-SCAC while Kylie Minter earned 2nd Team honors, and Bailey Timmons was an Honorable Mention. Livy Sauvageau earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team. Academically, the Tigers had an astounding 13 players on the conference honor roll and two players on the CSC Academic All-District Team.

Coach Cam has had an exceptional career at Trinity thus far. Coach Hill became the program’s all-time leader in career victories during the 2022-23 season and will begin this year with a 288-66 overall record over his first 13 seasons. His career winning percentage of 0.813 ranks him third in Division III history among coaches with 10 or more years of experience heading into this season. He has also guided the Tigers to a 167-25 (.870) record in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. Among SCAC coaches, Coach Hill holds the highest overall winning percentage in conference history. Coach Hill has won SCAC Coach of the Year three times and is also a two-time D3hoops.com Regional Coach of the Year Selection (2017, 2022). Cameron also earned the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Small College Coach of the Year Award during the 2016-17 season.

The on-court success of the Togethers has been plentiful. Under the direction of Coach Hill, there have been 13 All-Americans, 11 SCAC Players of the Year, 4 SCAC Freshman of the Year, 64 All-SCAC Selections, and one SCAC Woman of the Year. The Tigers have also won eight SCAC Championships, have eight NCAA Playoff appearances, and went to the NCAA quarterfinals during the 2021-22 season. Off the court, Coach Hill’s squad has also been elite. There have been six CSC Academic All-District recipients, 131 SCAC Honor Roll recipients, and Maggie Shipley was named SCAC Elite 19 during the 2021-22 season.

The Tigers will also be seeking another bid to the NCAA Playoffs this season, following a run to the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2022 and a third-round appearance in 2023. Under the direction of Coach Hill, the 2021-22 version of the Tigers shattered the school record with 27 consecutive victories on their way to the quarterfinals. That was just the second time that a Tiger team had reached the NCAA Quarterfinals, with the only other coming in 2002-03 when Trinity won the NCAA Championship.

Before joining the Trinity staff, Coach Hill led Ursuline Academy of Dallas, Texas, to the 2012 Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) Girls Basketball Class 5A Championship. The Wildcats captured the Southeastern Conference Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division I Elite Eight. Coach Hill was also an assistant coach for the former National Basketball Association Seattle SuperSonics Summer League and was the head coach of the United States Basketball Academy.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication from Trinity in 1999. Coach Hill played for the Tigers from 1996-1999 and received All-SCAC accolades in two of his three seasons with the team. Coach Hill played a major role in the Tigers’ 1998 SCAC Championship, as Trinity made its first appearance in the NCAA Division III Playoffs. Coach Hill gained professional playing experience for two years in Europe, following graduation from Trinity. He was a member of the Ulm, Germany, team in the Euro League Division 2; and for Treviso, Italy, in the Nike Summer Pro League.
