Box Score San Antonio -- The 10th-ranked Trinity Tigers shut out the Millsaps Majors 10-0 Sunday afternoon in a seven-inning, run-rule Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference game at the Trinity Baseball Field.
Trinity (18-3, 7-2 SCAC) and Millsaps (12-6, 7-2) are tied for first place in the SCAC West Division. Millsaps won Saturday's opener 12-4 in 10 innings. The two teams will meet again for a three-game series April 9-10 at Jackson, Miss.
The Tigers struck first, with one run in the second inning, as junior designated hitter
Nick Pappas scored on a wild pitch. Trinity added two runs in the third, highlighted by a SAC fly to center field by Pappas. Senior catcher

In the sixth inning, the Tigers opened up the game with six runs, on four hits, and one Millsaps error,. Pappas again played a role in the scoring, as he swatted an RBI triple to left center.
Pappas hit 2-2 with two RBI, drew one walk, and scored two runs. Senior outfielder
Kevin Jackson batted 2-3 with one RBI, and scored two runs.

Dylan Early accounted for two of the Tigers' runs in the game.
Noah Solomon, a senior right-hander, went the distance and earned the shutout victory. Solomon (3-0) yielded three hits, three walks, and recorded nine strikeouts of Millsaps players.
Trinity scored five earned runs off five Millsaps pitchers, smacked 11 hits, and made no errors. The Majors committed one error in the game.
The Tigers will host Cardinal Stritch in a non-conference game at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
