San Antonio - Trinity University Tigers first-year midfielder Emily Jorgens (Austin, Texas/Westwood) has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Jorgens led the seventh-ranked Tigers (6-0-0) to four shutout victories last week, over Texas-Tyler, Texas-Dallas, Schreiner, and Greenville (Ill).  

She scored four goals and dished out seven assists to pace the Tigers with 15 points in the four match-ups. Jorgens registered the game-winning goals in weekend wins over UT-Dallas and UT-Tyler. Last Tuesday, Jorgens tied a Trinity record with four assists in the game against Schreiner.

Jorgens is second on the team with 17 points this season, with five goals and seven assists. The game-winning goals were the first of her collegiate career.

Trinity, led by head Coach Lance Key, travels to Georgetown, Texas, Sunday to take on UC-Santa Cruz at noon.
