Box Score San Antonio - The Tiger baseball team won
its 20th game of the season with a 5-2 victory over the University
of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Tuesday night.
Trinity (20-4) moved up to second in the latest Division III
polls released by both the American Baseball Coaches Association
and D3Baseball.com this week. The Tigers have won five
consecutive games and 14 of their last 16 contests.

of the first inning by outfielder Pat Hirschberg, who was 2-4 with
one run and two RBI in the game.
After the Tigers took the early advantage, the Crusaders rallied
with runs in the second and third innings to tie the game, but
Trinity quickly reclaimed the lead with a run in the bottom of the
third. The Tigers added insurance runs in the fourth and
seventh to finish off the scoring.
Zack Speer (3-0) earned the win with six strong innings of work.
He gave up two runs on six hits, striking out nine batters.
Troy Ward came on to pitch the final three innings in relief,
allowing just one hit and striking out five batters to earn the
save.

College on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. The teams play a
doubleheader starting at noon on Saturday, then finish the weekend
with another 12:00 p.m. game on Sunday.
