baseball team opened up the third day of the NCAA West Region
Tournament with a 4-3 loss to No. 1 Linfield College on Friday
afternoon.
The Tigers fell to 38-8 on the season with the loss, which
snapped the team's 14-game winning streak. Yesterday, Trinity
broke the school's single season record with its 38th win of the
year, breaking a tie with the 2002, 2004, and 2012 teams.

Wildcats put up four runs in the opening frame. The Tigers
did answer with a run in the second to make it 4-1, but didn't
score again until the sixth.

then bunted them both into scoring position. Kevin Clements
delivered a two-run single to right field to trim the lead to 4-3,
but the Tiger rally fell short in the end.

pitched an outstanding game. He threw 7.2 shutout innings,
giving up just four hits, and striking out four batters.

Trinity is still alive in the double-elimination tournament.

Lutheran University at 7:00 p.m. this evening. The winner of
