Ryan Gray was the reliever for two-thirds of an inning. Gray (0-2) gave up four earned runs and was charged with the loss. Teddy Turner and Andrew Hoffman finished out the matchup.
"We mismanaged the game," admitted Head Coach Tim Scannell. "We had them on the ropes, and we let them off the hook. We play Texas-Dallas on Friday, and they are a really good team. We have a tough road ahead, but we will just get after it on Friday."
Moore batted 2-4 with one RBI and one run scored. Serkowski also drew two walks, and scored a run, in addition to his RBI. Carter McEachern and Austin Singer each drove in a run.
Trinity begins its home campaign Friday by hosting the University of Texas-Dallas at 7:00 p.m. A doubleheader is on the slate for Saturday, with a 1:00 p.m. starting time.
