Box Score San Antonio - Trinity senior Micah Weaver has been elected to an All-America Team for the second time this week.
The talented Tiger women's guard was selected for the D3hoops.com All-America Third Team. One day earlier, Weaver was designated as a Women's Basketball Coaches Association NCAA Division III Coaches' Honorable Mention All-American.
Weaver was also named to the D3hoops.com All-South Region Second Team. She was honored as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Year, as well as earning a slot on the All-SCAC First Team.
The accolades were well deserved by Weaver, who completed her second and final year of competition as a Trinity Tiger. She chalked up 1,000 career points,and became the 17th Trinity women's player to accomplish that feat. During the 2017-18 season, Weaver amassed 527 points and averaged 19.5 points per game.
The versatile Weaver also led the team with 90 assists, 151 total rebounds, and 72 steals. She connected on 50.5% of her shots from the field.
Sixth-year Head Coach Cameron Hill skippered the Tigers to their fourth SCAC Championship during his ttime at the helm. Trinity beat Southwestern (TX) University 80-74 in the championship tilt. The 21st-ranked Tigers advanced to the NCAA Division III Playoffs and lost 79-70 to the University of Texas-Dallas in the first round and wrapped up the season with a 23-4 record.
