GAME SUMMARY

After two quick outs to start the bottom of the first, Trinity pieced together three consecutive hits to bring in the runs.

The leadoff runner reached base and came around to score for the Tigers in each of the next two innings, putting Trinity in front 4-0 after three innings.

Mary Hardin-Baylor took advantage of three walks and a pair of hits in the fourth to bring in four runs to tie the game.

The Tigers continued the scoring barrage with three more runs in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good at 9-6.

Michael Goodrich hit a leadoff double in the sixth that led to another run that pushed the Tigers into double digits.

Logan Morrison then walked and came around to eventually score on a wild pitch, which was followed almost immediately by Rafe Chaumette's solo home run that made it a 12-6 game.

Goodrich led off the eighth with another extra-base hit, but this time he launched the ball over the wall for a solo home run that accounted for Trinity's final score of the night.

Mary Hardin-Baylor had a leadoff homer of its own in the ninth, but that was as far as the comeback went for the visitors.
