Box Score San Antonio - Trinity Assistant Men's Basketball Coach Ross Burt has announced his resignation after 11 seasons in the position.
Coach Burt is moving to Chicago, Illinois, with his wife, who has accepted an extraordinary career opportunity.
A 2006 Trinity graduate, Coach Burt joined the staff full time in August 2008. Working alongside Head Coach Pat Cunningham, Coach Burt played a major role in the team's four NCAA Division III appearances and three Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships his tenure as the Tiger assistant coach.
He performed a myriad of duties, including recruiting, on-court coaching, scouting and game preparation, coordinating travel plans, and conducting individual workouts.
As a Tiger standout player from the 2002-03 through 2005-06 campaigns, Coach Burt received D3hoops.com All-South Region honors and was elected to the All-SCAC First Team. He scored over 1,000 career points and was a member of the 2004-05 squad, which won a school-record 25 games and advanced to the NCAA Division III Elite Eight.
Coach Burt earned the Bachelor of Science degree from Trinity in 2006 and later received a Master of Science in accounting from his alma mater. Prior to becoming a full-time coach, he was a certified public accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
