Box Score San Antonio - The Trinity men's and women's cross country teams and individual runners have received academic honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The 2019 squads were designated as USTFCCCA NCAA Division III All-Academic Teams. For a team to be eligible, it must have scored at an NCAA Regional meet and have a minimum GPA of 3.10. The Tiger women registered a GPA of 3.29, while the men posted a mark of 3.27.
Led by sixth-year Head Coach Emily Daum, Trinity's women finished fourth at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional at Memphis, Tennessee, while the men came in at #11. Two women and one male represented Trinity at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships at Louisville, Kentucky.
Four Trinity runners received All-Academic Team recognition. Student-athletes must have a GPA of at least 3.30 and finished in the top-25 percent of their Regional meet.
Senior Brianna Ratliff, a psychology major, earned women's All-Academic honors for the third consecutive year. Ratliff placed 10th at the Regional meet and was 95th at the NCAA Championships. First-year runner Anna King, a biology major, finished in 41st place at the Regional.
Junior Harry Bellow, a geosciences major, received men's All-Academic kudos for the third year in a row. Bellow placed ninth at the Regional, and finished 111th at the NCAA Championships. He tied for the fifth-highest finish in Trinity men's cross country history.
Junior Keaton Holt, a physics major, earned the All-Academic distinction for the second year in a row. He finished in 54th place at the Regional and received the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Elite 19 Award for athletic and academic accomplishments.
