LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - For the third time this year, the No. 21st ranked Women's Swimming and Diving squad swept this week's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Awards. Sophomore Emma Hagan (Overland Park, Kan. / Olathe East) won her second SCAC Swimmer of the Week award and first-year Brooklyn Fuscone (Hoffman Estates, Ill. / Hoffman Estates) won SCAC Diver of the Week Honors.
Hagan won three individual events this weekend at the Tiger Invite: the 50 free (23.74), 100 free (51.41), and 200 free (1:52.47). The sophomore earned an NCAA B cut in the 100 freestyle. Additionally, she raced to a 58.00 in the 100 fly in prelims.
Emma was also crucial to all four relays. She anchored the winning 200 freestyle relay in 23.21 as the quartet earned an NCAA B cut time of 1:35.35. On the school record setting 400 medley relay (3:52.42) Hagan brought the team home in 51.01. The team set a school record in the 200 medley relay (1:45.67) with the help of Emma's 23.31 anchor leg. The Tigers ended the weekend with an NCAA B cut time of 3:29.35 in the 400 free relay with a 51.26 anchor leg from Hagan.
Fuscone took second in the three meter dive on Saturday with a score of 383.55 at the Trinity University Invite. On Friday, Fuscone scored
a 343.05 in the one meter dive.
The Tigers will host Oklahoma Christian University on Friday, January 7th, 2022 at the Hixon Natatorium. The meet is set to begin at 5 p.m.
