Box Score

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Junior center Hailey Coleman (Kansas City, Mo. / St. Teresa's) of Trinity University Women's Basketball was named D3Hoops.com All-South Region second team, the organization announced Wednesday morning. This is the first all-region nod of the Tiger's career, the sixth-straight season in which Trinity Women's Hoops has been featured on the all-region list.

An All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) First-Team selection, Coleman was Trinity's low-post centerpiece as she collected seven double-digit scoring outputs including a career-high 21 points against Schreiner University ahead of the conference tournament.

The 2019 SCAC Newcomer of the Year led the league with a 59.1 field goal percentage that would land near the top-ten across all of NCAA III competition. The junior Kansas City-native also ranked in the top-ten in the SCAC in blocks (1.2 bpg), steals (1.4 spg) and offensive rebounds (2.1 off. rpg).

The Tigers' six-year streak began with Monica Holguin '17 as a second-team selection in 2016 prior to her South Region Player of the Year award the following season. Micah Weaver '18 picked up the streak with a first-team nod her senior season, followed by Abby Holland '20 with a second- and first-team selection in 2019 and 2020, respectively.

Trinity won its seventh SCAC Championship all-time, fifth under Head Coach Cameron Hill, to conclude the 2020-21 campaign on a 73-63 victory over Colorado College in Calgaard Gym last month to conclude the campaign with a 10-2 record, 7-2 in SCAC regular-season action. Coleman was one of five Tigers to collect SCAC season honors, led by SCAC Defensive Player of the Year senior guard Jordan Rudd (Brownsville, Texas / Veterans Memorial).
