Box Score SAN ANTONIO – Trinity University Men's Basketball visited NCAA I University of Texas at San Antonio Monday night in an exhibition matchup as a tune-up for the 2022-23 regular season, and fell to the Roadrunners, 74-47, at the UTSA Convocation Center.
Nineteen Tigers, the entire active roster in Monday's contest, made an appearance including five unofficial collegiate debuts. Three Tigers led the way with six points apiece between senior starters AJ Clark (San Antonio, Texas / Johnson) and Ben Hanley (Flower Mound, Texas / Flower Mound) along with junior Grayson Herr (Farmington, Conn. / Farmington) who notched his line on three-for-three from the field in just seven minutes on the floor.
Clark also led the way with seven rebounds and tied senior Kaleb Jenkins (New Orleans, La. / Metairie Park) with a pair of steals each. Sophomore Braxton Barry (Houston, Texas / Westbury Christian) held his own against the 6-foot-11 Jacob Germany, a 2021-22 All-Conference USA honorable mention, to log a pair of blocks in 13 minutes of work.
The 2022-23 regular season begins for No. 18 Trinity Men's Basketball Friday afternoon on the campus of No. 11 University of Rochester against SUNY-Fredonia in the Chuck Resler Tournament.
The 2022 Leslie Robinson Thanksgiving Classic marks the home-opener for the Tigers against McMurry University on Friday, November 25.
