SANDESTIN, Fla. – The 19th-ranked Tiger women's golf team stands 17th after the second round of action at the Golfweek October Classic on Tuesday at the Baytowne Golf Club.
The Tigers improved their team score by three strokes over yesterday's opening round of play, shooting a combined 313 on Tuesday. Trinity is just nine shots back of Carleton College (MN) 10th place, as well as just two shots from Rhodes College (TN) in 14th place.
Senior
Lucy Hansen (Gilbert, Ariz. / Campo Verde) tied for the third-best score in the field on Tuesday, shooting an even-par 72 and finishing the round tied for 15th overall. Hansen eagled the par-4 second to help her play even over the front nine, then she added two birdies to balance out a pair of bogeys on the back and finish even for the day. Hansen shot 78 to start the tournament on Sunday.
Fellow senior
Erin Flynn (League City, Texas / Clear Falls) has a two-day score of 156 (79-77) for a tie for 43rd place among a field of 120 individuals. Flynn had three birdies among her 18 holes today to lead the team.

Kiona Hsiu (Missouri City, Texas / Elkins), has shot 163 (79-84) over the first two days of action. First-year
Marlo Zamora (San Antonio, Texas / Reagan) matched her first-day total with a score of 80 today and has a combined score of 160. Junior
Kate Schulle (Cedar Park, Texas / Cedar Park) rounds out the Trinity golfers at the tournament and holds a combined score of 171 (80-91) over the first 36 holes.
Trinity will begin the final round tomorrow morning on the back nine, beginning at 8:20 a.m.
