Trinity University Women's Soccer looks to go undefeated in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play as they take on Schreiner University on Friday, October 27th.
The Tigers (9-4-2, 6-0 SCAC) took two wins on the weekend by defeating the University of St. Thomas 1-0 and then crushing Centenary College 9-0. With these wins, the Tigers secured the top seed for the SCAC tournament. Sophomore

SCAC Player of the Week - Michaela Bosco, Offensive
For the first time this season,
Michaela Bosco has been selected as the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week.
Bosco registered a hat trick to cap a 2-0 weekend for the Tiger women's soccer team. Bosco doubled her season total in goals with Sunday's hat trick in the win over Centenary, She scored all three goals in just under 51 minutes. Along with her three goals, Bosco added an assist to finish with seven points on the afternoon, the most in any single game this season in the SCAC.
United Soccer Coaches Regional Rankings - Tigers at 6
The United Soccer Coaches have ranked the Tigers sixth overall in Region X. Sitting in the top spot is the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, followed by Pomona-Pitzer Colleges in the second spot. The next Texas school would be Hardin-Simmons University, ranked in 4th place.
Preview - Tigers vs Mountaineers
The Tigers will face off against the Mountaineers of Schreiner University on Friday, October 27th at 5:30 PM. During the 2022 season, the Tigers went 3-0 against Schreiner, outscoring the Mountaineers 15-0. Overall, the Tigers are 22-0 against the Mountaineers since 2011.
On the Schreiner Mountaineers: The Mountaineers are 2-10-1 (1-4-1 SCAC) this season. The Mountaineers have taken victories against Houston-Victoria and Centenary College. The Mountaineers have struggled offensively, only scoring nine goals to opponents 31. The Mountaineers also do not have a player with more than one goal on the season. The Tigers will look to stop the best offensive player for the Mountaineers, Natalee Talley, who has 1 goal in 7 shots on goal.

"We want to win this match to end the regular season on a high note," said Head Coach Dylan Harrison. "This game has the potential to give us lots of momentum heading into the conference tournament."
Looking Ahead - Conference Tournament
After the conclusion of the Schreiner match, the Tigers will head to Houston and Sabercat Stadium to compete in the SCAC conference tournament from November 3rd to November 5th.
