No. 13 Tiger Volleyball jumps into their final regular season game on Thursday against the Mountaineers of Schreiner University.
Â
The Tigers (25-4, 14-1 SCAC) split their last two matches of the Kerrville Krossover. The Tigers would fall to Colorado College 0-3 and then sweep Schreiner for the final match of the night. Senior

Maddie Fate (Croton of Hudson, New York / Croton Harmon) was second with 15. The Tigers totaled 13 blocks and 116 digs on the weekend. Over the two matches, the Tigers held both teams to under .200 hitting percentage in 4 of 6 sets.Â

AVCA Rankings - Tigers at 13
Â

Â
Preview - Closing Out The Regular Season
Â
The Tigers will take another trip to Kerrville to play against Schreiner with the game getting underway at 6:00 PM. The Tigers are 27-0 against the Mountaineers after winning the match on Saturday.Â
Â
On the Schreiner Mountaineers: The Mountaineers are 18-11 (8-7 SCAC) so far. The Mountaineers have also secured a spot in the 2023 SCAC Volleyball Tournament, so this may not be the last that the Tigers see of them. During the previous match, the Tigers held team kill leader Gianna Hillard to just one kill and a .000 hitting percentage. As Logan was the main attraction during the last match, the Mountaineers may try to cheat her way. Look for the Tigers to set middle blockers
Maddie Fate,
Brette Thornton (Rockwall, Texas / Rockwall), and right-side hitter
Connelley McWilliams (Austin, Texas / St. Michael's) in this next match as they all hit over .500 in the previous game.

Key Matchups - Stopping Super Seniors
Â
Fifth-year outside hitter Brooke Beyer obtained the most kills against the Tigers, with 9, in the previous match. The Tiger block will look to slow her down to sweep another match from the Mountaineers. Many of her shots were tips in the previous match, but that won't fool the Tigers as most of her kills have come from Beyer being a free swinger. The Tiger defense will stay on their toes when she goes up in the air for a hit.
Â
Looking Ahead - SCAC Tournament
Â
The Tigers will pack their bags again and head to Georgetown to compete in the 2023 SCAC Volleyball Tournament on November 10th and 11th.Â
