GREENSBORO, N.C. – The 16th-ranked Trinity women's swimming & diving team wrapped up the final day at the NCAA III Championships with another All-American performance.
First-year
Neely Burns (Phoenix, Ariz. / Thunderbird) finished eighth in the championship final of the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:17.03, earning First Team All-American honors in the process. Earlier in the day, she broke her own school record by finishing seventh with a time of 2:16.49 in the prelims. She broke the previous Trinity record in the 200 breaststroke five times this season.
Junior
Emma Hagan (Overland Park, Kan. / Olathe East) competed in the 100 freestyle prelims earlier today, finishing in a time of 53.41 seconds.
Hagan and Burns were both a part of the 400 free relay team for the Tigers that finished 29th in the prelims with a time of 3:32.98, which is the third-fastest time this season for Trinity. The duo was joined by first-year
Audrey Jacobson (Dallas, Texas / School for the Talented & Gifted) and junior
Caroline Myers (Austin, Texas / Bowie) on the team.
