Trinity University Women's Hoops hits the road to the north east side of Texas to take on Austin College and the University of Dallas.

Last Time

The Tigers (14-5) picked up two crucial wins against Southwestern and Texas Lutheran. Kylie Minter (League City, Texas / Clear Springs) led the Tigers with 31 total points on 10-14 (71%) shooting and 6-9 (67%) from three-point land. As a team, the Tigers would shoot 45 percent (15-33) from deep and 43 percent (42-96) from the field. With those wins, the Tigers now sit in first place in the SCAC standings.

Preview - Charging into the North-East

The Tigers will play against Austin College on Friday, January 26th at 7:30 PM, and then against the University of Dallas on Saturday, January 26th at 6:00 PM.

On the Austin Roos: The Roos are 5-13 (4-6 SCAC) so far this season. The last time the Tigers and Austin College met this season, the Roos were blown out, losing 92-50. However, the Roos have won their last two after losing six in a row before that. Austin College had their second-best game of the season, putting up 92 points against Centenary on January 19th. Austin College is led by freshman Lexi Martin, who is the only Roo in double-digit scoring with 11.7. The Tigers are now 32-18 against the Roos.

On the Dallas Crusaders: The Crusaders hold an 11-8 (5-5 SCAC) record this season. The Crusaders have fared well against the bottom half of the SCAC this season but have struggled to put up offensive numbers against the top half. Against the upper part of the conference, Dallas have only put up more than 60 points one time this season, and that was 62 points against the Tigers. The Crusaders do not have a scorer in double figures this season and are only averaging 63 points per game as a team. The Tigers are now 46-4 against UD and have won the last 24 matchups.

Keys To The Game

Turnover Machines: Last time out against these teams, the Tigers forced a total of 60 turnovers and scored 79 points off of turnovers. Look for the Tigers to press harder in these games to force erred passes and ball mishandles so they can get out and run their transition offense to get easy buckets in the paint.

Looking Ahead - 830 + 210

The Tigers will head to Kerrville to take on Schreiner on Tuesday, February 6th, and then be back at home on Sunday, February 11th to take on Colorado College.
