Tiger Women's Soccer Picks Up Another SCAC Win Against Texas Lutheran University

San Antonio - The Trinity women's soccer team shone under the lights on Friday night to claim their fourth win in a row.

The Tigers (7-1-2) have conceded in just one of their ten games this season and extended their perfect SCAC record to 3-0.

The Rundown

Like predators eying up their prey, the Tigers got out of the blocks with intent against the Bulldogs as they looked to improve on their 0-0 tie in the previous meet earlier this season. Six minutes was all it took to get onto the scoresheet in another shutout victory. A perfectly placed pass from Malea Cesar (Portland, Ore. / Sunset) gave the forward Michaela Bosco (Weatherford, Texas / Weatherford) the opportunity to put in a first time cross into Abby Schneider (Albuquerque, N.M, / Bosque School) who tucked away her third goal of the season.
Trinity's dominance continued throughout the second half, and the goals did too. This time it was Bosco's turn to get on the scoresheet, with her right foot hammering home the Tiger's second goal of the game. Credit to Elie Kriek (New Orleans, La. The Willow School) who's persistence in the final third lead to a wonderfully placed assist into Bosco.

Trinity continued to dominate in the second half as their search for a third goal resulted in 11 shots and 7 corners. While they didn't add to their goal tally in the second 45 minutes, the Tigers' defense stayed strong to secure their ninth shutout of the season. Senior goalkeeper Lauryn Lewis (Carrollton, Texas / Creekview) continued her good form between the sticks with five saves on the night, her most in a single game this season.

Up Next

The Tigers are back at Paul McGinlay Field this Sunday as they take on Southwestern University at 2:00pm.
