In the 12th minute of today's matchup, Southwestern scored their only goal of the game against the Tigers.
Â
In the 33rd minute of the game, Trinity Tigers offense increased their pressure on the Pirate's defense when
Adam Knutson (Dripping Springs, TX / Dripping Springs) scored with a high-arching shot that may or may not have been a pass from the left side, outside the 18-yard-box. Knutson shrugged his shoulders and celebrated with the team as the Tigers tied up the match.
Â
Fighting for the lead, the Trinity Tigers offense continued to break through the Southwestern defense. Seeing the right opportunity,
Adam Knutson went on the attack. Within the 54th minute, Knutson took charge of the field dribbling through three SU defenders and hitting the back of the net with his second goal of the game. As if Knutson knew what Tiger fans were waiting for and just like the little kid on the tricycle in the Incredibles once said, we were "looking for something amazing to happen I guess!"
Â
The Tigers held tough defensively for the rest of the match, holding the Pirates scoreless and winning the match, 2-1.
