San Antonio – The Tiger women's soccer team ends parents weekend with another victory over Concordia University.
Trinity (6-1-2) scored their 4th goal away from home this season to beat the Tornados 1-0, giving them their 3rd consecutive shutout.
The Rundown
A dominant start to the game by Trinity saw a 34th minute goal by substitute
Alex Doran (Boerne, Texas / Geneva School of Boerne) just 2 minutes after coming onto the field. With their 4th corner kick of the game, it was the first-year midfielder that got to the ball first as she tussled with the opposition to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead in the first half. This was Doran's second game winning goal for Trinity and a second time the Tiger first years have made the difference this weekend following
Kylie Harris' (Missouri City, Texas / Ridge Point) long range effort during Friday's home fixture.
The Tiger domination continued into the second half with an additional 7 shots taken against the Tornados, giving them a resounding total of 19 shots in both halves. Trinity's defensive shape maintained its organization, allowing only 3 shots on
Lauryn Lewis' (Carrollton, Texas / Creekview) goal throughout the game. Lewis will head back to San Antonio with a perfect weekend of 0 goals conceded.
