NICHOLASVILLE, KENTUCKY - No. 14 Tiger Men's Tennis finishes 8th in the ITA DIII Indoor Championships.

The Tigers (2-5) were matched up against tough competition all weekend. Trinity dropped their match to No. 12 Gustavus Adolphus 1-6 and fell 0-4 to No. 10 Sewanee. Trinity picked up three wins in doubles matches but failed to secure a victory in singles competition.Â

The duo of
Ethan Flores (Houston, Texas / Clear Lake) and
Conor Kaczmarczyk (Aurora, Colorado / Regis Jesuit) went 2-0 in #3 doubles, winning 6-4 against Gustavus and 6-3 in the Sewanee match.
Aashish Dhanani (Austin, Texas / Westwood) and
Eric Liao (Taipei, Taiwan / Boca Prep (Florida)) defeated the #1 doubles team of Gustavus 6-4 but fell to Sewanee's team 3-6. To round off the doubles competition,
Rob Chang (Aiea, Hawaii / 'Iolani School) and
Dalton Locke (Humble, Texas / Kingwood) dropped both their matches by a score of 3-6.Â

In singles,
Jared Perry (Tucson, Arizona / Catalina Foothills) fell 6-1, 3-6, and 4-6 to Gustavus and 4-6 and 2-6 to Sewanee in his #1 singles matches.
Rafa Candelas (Zacatexas, Mexico / American School (Spain)) lost both matches two sets to none for the #2 singles. Although he won the first set 6-4, Chang lost his #3 singles match in three sets.
Connor Whittington (Lake Oswego, Oregon / Lake Oswego) fell 4-6 and 1-6 in his #4 singles match. Liao dropped his #5 singles match in three sets. To round out the match against Gustavus, Kaczmarczyk lost 3-6 and 4-6. In the #5 singles against Sewanee,
Ethan Ruppanner (Amarillo, Texas / Tascosa) dropped both of his sets by a score of 0-6 and 3-6. The #3, 4, and 6 singles matches against Sewanee went unfinished.Â
