Trinity Men's Soccer Opens Season with 1-1 Draw Against Hendrix College
 
The Trinity Tigers kicked off their season with a 1-1 draw against Hendrix College on a night that saw Adam Knutson (Dripping Springs, Texas / Dripping Springs) score the Tigers' only goal. This goal marked Knutson's 14th career goal and his first in a season opener. With the draw, Trinity remains undefeated at 20-0-1 all-time against Hendrix.

Hendrix made an early push, with their first shot on goal just two minutes into the match. However, Omkar Satpathy (Pleasanton, California / Amador Valley) easily handled the attempt. Trinity's first real scoring chance came in the 20th minute when Knutson fired a powerful shot into the bottom right corner, but the Hendrix goalkeeper made the save. Both teams were held scoreless at halftime, with no further shots on goal in the first half.
 
In the second half, possession shifted frequently between the teams. Trinity made a strong push in the 55th minute when Jason Sukow (Jacksonville Beach, Florida / Reagan) took a well-placed shot that narrowly missed in the bottom right corner, as the Hendrix keeper made a crucial save. Hendrix broke the deadlock with a goal in the 68th minute. Trinity responded when Knutson capitalized on a deflected ball, sending a shot like a heat seeking missile into the top left corner to level the score at 1-1. Despite two more chances in the 75th and 77th minutes, Trinity could not find the net again, and the match ended in a 1-1 tie.
