The Rundown
Trinity started the offense early and aggressively. Just two minutes into the match,
Adam Knutson (Dripping Springs, Texas) took a penalty kick following a UMHB handball in the box. He aimed for the bottom left corner, but the Crusader keeper made a crucial save. Fourteen minutes later, UMHB scored the game's opening goal. The Crusaders thought they had a comfortable lead, but
Hunter Cain had other ideas. Sukow delivered a pass to a sprinting Cain, who positioned himself between the ball and a UMHB defender. Cain then struck the ball with his left foot, sending it past the keeper to equalize the match. Both teams created several chances throughout the half, which ended in a 1-1 tie.
In the 63rd minute, Chander received the ball at the top of the six-yard box and scored, placing it in the top left corner of the goal to give Trinity the lead. The Crusaders had a chance to equalize in the 82nd minute with a shot just outside the six-yard box, but Satpathy made an impressive save. Two minutes later, Instrall found himself at the top of the box and fired a shot past the Crusader goalie, putting the Tigers up by two. As the final whistle blew, Trinity secured another victory for the season.
