MADISON, Wis. – Trinity's 14th-ranked women's golf team finished fourth at the UW-Whitewater Fall Invitational on Tuesday, wrapping up the opening event of the 2024-25 season.
The Tigers shot a team score of 313 for a three-shot improvement from yesterday's first round and finished just one stroke short of a tie for second place at the tournament with a two-day score of 629. Eighth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University and 25th-ranked Randolph-Macon College (VA) were tied for second, while 15th-ranked Centre College (KY) won the event.
Alejandra Sanchez De la Fuente Molino (Marbella, Spain / Atalaya) shot a total score of 150 for the tournament to tie for second place, finishing just five shots off the leader. She carded three of the team's five birdies on Tuesday and finished with five birdies total over the 36-hole event.
Jessica Mason (Westminster, Colo. / Holy Family) was four shots back of her teammate with a score of 154 (76-78) that secured her a spot in the top 10 (tied for ninth).
Lauren Huddleston (Anthem, Ariz. / Boulder Creek) gave Trinity three golfers in the top 20 after shooting a 159 (79-80) for the week and tying for 18th place.
Carmen Kennett (Missouri City, Texas / Ridge Point) and
Kate Schulle (Cedar Park, Texas / Cedar Park) both improved their scores from Monday's opening round. Kennett had the team's best improvement from round one to round two, shooting a 79 on Tuesday and a 167 (88-79) overall. Schulle was one shot better today, finishing with a total score of 173 (87-86).

The Tigers are back in action in two weeks and will host the Alamo City Classic at the Quarry Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday, October 7-8.
