SEGUIN, Texas – The Tiger women's soccer team played its first road game of the 2024 season, finishing in a scoreless tie at Texas Lutheran University on Friday evening.
Trinity (1-0-2) controlled the game throughout, holding distinct advantages in total shots and corner kicks. The Tigers finished with 22 total shots – half of which were on-target attempts – and 13 corner kicks. The Bulldogs got off just nine shots and one corner kick.
Lauryn Lewis (Carrollton, Texas / Creekview) recorded her third straight shutout to open up the season and hasn't allowed a goal in the first 270 minutes of the season. She has now compiled 18 career shutouts for the Tigers, which is ranked fourth in school history.
Trinity had seven shots in just over 18 minutes of action to start the game, with
Abby Schneider (Albuquerque, N.M. / Bosque School) picking up three of those attempts – including two on goal. The Tigers also had a quick start to the second half with
Hanna Khan (Southlake, Texas / Carroll) firing a pair of shots on goal less than 10 minutes into the period.

Trinity returns home next weekend to host the University of Texas-Dallas and Howard Payne University. The Tigers face UTD on Friday at 6:00 p.m., with the match against the Yellow Jackets beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
