Trinity Cross Country Teams Earn USTFCCCA Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Trinity University men's and women's cross country received recognition from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as All-Academic Teams for the Fall 2024 semester, while two Tiger runners also qualified as All-Academic Athletes.

The Trinity women's team posted an impressive 3.581 GPA this past fall, while the men's team recorded a strong 3.503 GPA last semester. Both squads, led by Head Coach Emily Daum, surpassed the USTFCCCA's team qualification standard of a 3.1 cumulative GPA.

In addition to the team accolades, two Tiger student-athletes earned individual All-Academic honors. Senior Ryan Tresaugue (Spring, Texas / The Woodlands), a biology major from the men's team, and first-year Charlotte Martin (Southlake, Texas / Carroll), a computer science major from the women's team, received the distinction after meeting the criteria of maintaining at least a 3.30 GPA and finishing in the top 25% at their respective regional meets.

Tresaugue earned All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference honors in cross country for the second time in three seasons. He was named to the SCAC Academic Honor Roll and the Trinity Dean's List for the Fall of 2024 as well. Tresaugue has also been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team each of the past two seasons. Martin has made the most of her first season with the Tigers, earning the SCAC Newcomer of the Year award and All-SCAC accolades. She was also named to the USTFCCCA All-Region team, while also joining Tresaugue on both the Trinity Dean's List and the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.
