Trinity Tennis Partners With PlayReplay Beginning Spring 2026

SAN ANTONIO – The Trinity University men's and women's tennis teams have signed an agreement to partner with PlayReplay for electronic line-calling during tennis matches at the Butch Newman Tennis Center, beginning in Spring 2026.

Trinity is the first Division III school to partner with PlayReplay, which is the market-leading all-in-one smart court system, offering unmatched real-time tracking of every ball and player, with performance data, an integrated court and mobile app, and tournament tools. The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has signed a three-year partnership with PlayReplay, making it the exclusive electronic line-calling provider for top ITA championships as well.

"I couldn't be more excited by this partnership with PlayReplay," began Head Men's Tennis Coach Russell McMindes. "Since our first phone call, I knew this was a company committed to excellence with great vision for providing the very best in modern technology.  The innovation and the proven success they have achieved are remarkable. I am thrilled we have the opportunity to join forces with a company that shares our passion for being elite and give our program access to technology that has only been reserved for professional tennis in electronic line calling. I couldn't be more thankful to the university and our athletic department for providing the support to pursue this endeavor. And to our donors for sharing in our vision and having the trust in us to chase this dream. This is an amazing day to be part of Trinity Tennis and now part of the PlayReplay family as well."

"An incredibly exciting day for Trinity Tennis," said Head Women's Tennis Coach Andrew Cohn. "Our university continues to be at the forefront of technological innovations that can enhance our student-athlete experience. I could not be more excited that we're partnering with the premier company in the Electronic Line Calling space in PlayReplay and being among the first adopters in all of collegiate tennis. I'm filled with gratitude toward everyone across the athletic department and university to help make this happen. Everyone will benefit from this partnership, and I cannot wait to get everything up and running - even more reasons now to be looking forward to our first home match this spring! It's a great day to be a Tiger as the Trinity Tennis experience only continues to get better and better!"

Both Tiger tennis teams will play their first home matches of the 2026 season on Saturday, February 14. The men will face off against Concordia University (TX) at 9:30 a.m., followed by the women hosting the University of California-Santa Cruz at 11:00 a.m. Both teams will also host the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (TX) later that afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
