The Rundown
Â
The Tigers opened the game with a layup from
Ty Williams, quickly establishing their offensive presence. Centenary answered back with a jumper, keeping the early minutes competitive. However, Trinity found its rhythm midway through the first half, launching a key 9-4 run that helped them push ahead.
Jacob Harvey's three-pointer ignited the surge, followed by crucial defensive stops that fueled transition points. Despite Centenary's resilience, Trinity closed the half trailing by just one point, 31-30.
Â
The second half saw Trinity quickly regain control as Harvey drained another three to kick-start the scoring. That shot set the tone for the Tigers, who built momentum with a 14-4 run that gave them a comfortable lead. Centenary made multiple attempts to claw back, including a stretch where they put together a 8-2 burst, but Trinity's balanced scoring attack and rebounding advantage helped weather the storm. With
Ty Williams dominating inside and Harvey lighting it up from deep, the Tigers maintained their edge throughout the period.
Â
As the game entered the final stretch, Centenary made one last push, cutting the lead to single digits with five minutes to play. However, Trinity's composure under pressure proved to be the difference-maker. Defensive stops and consistent scoring in the paint kept the visiting team at bay. A jumper in the paint from Williams helped put the game out of reach as Trinity continued to dictate the tempo. With the final buzzer, Trinity secured a hard-fought 76-68 victory.Â
