SHERMAN, TEXAS - Trinity Softball completes the sweep against Austin College to close out their Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) weekend.
Â
The Tigers (5-2, 3-0 SCAC) dominated Austin College with a 15-0 victory.
Megan Kriechbaum (Cedar Hills, Utah / Pleasant Grove) pitched a no-hitter, throwing five innings with seven strikeouts and only one walk. This marks the Tigers' first no-hitter since 2019, when Allie Holbrook accomplished the feat against Schreiner.
Â
The Tiger offense also shone.
Hannah Boudreaux (Pearland, Texas / Shadow Creek) went 3-for-3 at the plate, driving in two runs and adding an extra-base hit. Meanwhile,
Carsyn Lee (Flower Mound, Texas / Flower Mound) continued her red-hot season by going 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Overall, the Tigers recorded 11 hits in 32 at-bats, posting a .344 team average.

The Rundown
Â
Trinity (Tex.) wasted no time asserting their dominance against the Roos. The first run came swiftly as
Samantha Tagawa (Agoura Hills, California / Agoura) doubled to center field, advanced to third on a passed ball, and raced home on a wild pitch.
Â
Then, the Tigers exploded for seven more runs in the opening inning.
Peyton Bowser (Arvada, Colorado / West) drew a bases-loaded walk to score a run, followed by a wild pitch that plated Lee.
Ella Whitacre (Roanoke, Texas / Byron Nelson) reached on a fielder's choice, scoring another run, while
Angela Baltzell (Anitoch, California / Freedom) earned an RBI with another bases-loaded walk. Defensive errors from Austin College—including a misplay by the second baseman—further fueled Trinity's commanding lead.
After Kriechbaum had Austin College down in order, Trinity added another run in the second inning when
Jordan Arce (Thousand Oaks, California / Thousand Oaks) used her speed to capitalize on more misplays, extending the Tiger lead to nine.
Â
In the bottom of the third inning, Kriechbaum maintained his shutout as the Tigers' bats went back to work. Trinity tacked on five more runs: Boudreaux's two-out double got the offense rolling, followed by Lee's double to left field that brought in two runs. Another wild pitch allowed an additional run, and a subsequent error by the Roos added yet another score. A few batters later, Baltzell drove in another run to push the score to 14-0.
Â
In the top of the fifth inning, Trinity added another run before Kriechbaum retired three more AC hitters to secure the no-hitter and complete the sweep.
