SAN ANTONIO - The Trinity University Softball team dropped game three of their season series against Texas Lutheran.
The Tigers (22-5) couldn't catch up to the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs in this mid-week matchup.
Peyton Bowser (Arvada, Colorado / West) went 1 for 2 on the day, with two RBIs.
Samantha Tagawa (Agoura Hills, Calif. / Agoura) also had 1 hit on the day.
Game Three - Trinity 2, Texas Lutheran 9
After a quiet start for both teams offensively, the Bowser smoked a two run single to left center to put the Tigers on the board in the bottom of the 2nd.
In the top of the 3rd, the Bulldogs answered back with 4 hits and 6 runs to put them ahead 2-6.
In the bottom of the inning, Tagawa collected a single up the middle, but the Tigers were unable to cash in any runs.
For the remainder of the game, the Tigers fought hard with some good offensive contact, but ultimately could not come back against TLU. The game would end with a 2-9 Trinity loss.

The Tigers will head to Southwestern University this Friday at 6:00pm for another conference matchup and an opportunity to bounce back.
