SAN ANTONIO – Trinity University men's tennis standouts Eric Liao (Taipei, Taiwan / Boca Prep) and Aashish Dhanani (Austin, Texas / Westwood) have been recognized for their excellence both on the court and in the classroom, earning spots on the prestigious 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

The CSC Academic All-District® program honors top student-athletes nationwide for their combined athletic performance and academic achievements. Liao and Dhanani's selection places them among the distinguished group of collegiate men's tennis players excelling in both areas.

Liao has been a key contributor to Trinity's success throughout his career. This season, he was named SCAC Player of the Week (Week 1) and earned spots on the SCAC All-Tournament Team in Singles and Doubles. His strong performances led to All-SCAC Second Team honors in Singles and First Team recognition in Doubles. Liao has played a pivotal role in Trinity's four consecutive SCAC Championships (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025) and NCAA Tournament appearances. Academically, he is a three-time SCAC Academic Honor Roll honoree (2022, 2023, 2024), a four-time Trinity Dean's List recipient, and a two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete (2023, 2024).

Dhanani has also made a significant impact on the program. His doubles play earned him a spot on the SCAC All-Tournament Team (Doubles), and he was recognized as an All-SCAC First Team selection in Doubles. Dhanani helped lead Trinity to three straight SCAC Championships (2023, 2024, 2025) and three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. Off the court, he has excelled academically, earning SCAC Academic Honor Roll recognition (2023, 2024), being named an ITA Scholar-Athlete (2023, 2024), and securing a spot on the Trinity Dean's List multiple times.

Led by Head Coach Russell McMindes, Trinity won its 15th straight SCAC Championship and made its 15th straight appearance in the NCAA Playoffs this season. The Tigers advanced to the NCAA Third Round of the Playoffs for the second time in the last three years in 2025.
