SAN ANTONIO - On this lovely 7 PM game under the lights, the Tigers found themselves a demanding 4-0 win against the Concordia Tornados. While it might have taken the Tigers a minute to find the net, once they did, there was no stopping them.

The RundownÂ
Â
The opening half of the match highlighted the Tigers' fluid passing game, as they consistently circulated the ball with confidence and composure, leaving the Tornados chasing for long stretches. Their ability to maintain near-total possession allowed them to dictate the tempo and create a series of promising chances in the attacking third. Despite their dominance and several well-worked build-ups, however, the Tigers were unable to convert their control into a goal just yet.
Â
Heading into the second half, the Tigers were hungry for their first goal of the match and ready to pounce. Only 6 minutes into the second half, midfielder
Bri Werner (Woodbine, MD / Glenelg) was able to receive a lovely pass from defender
Kayla Boven (Katy, Texas / Tompkins), where she one-touched a pass directly to forward
Madisyn Barganski (Corpus Christi, Texas / Flour Bluff) in the 18 yd box. Barganski took a touch, setting herself up perfectly and knocked one in the back of the net right past the face of the Tornados keeper, making the game 1-0. Only 11 minutes later, in the 62nd minute, the Tigers found themselves with an indirect freekick in the box. Midfielder
Malea Cesar (Portland, OR / Sunset) tapped the ball, allowing forward
Hanna Khan (Southlake, Texas / Carroll) to slot a low and driven ball to the center of the goal, where Barganski cheekily was there to back heel the ball into the net. That gives Bargainski her sixth goal of the season now, once again, leading the team in goals. In the 74th minute of the match the Tigers found themselves with another free kick. Midfielder
Elie Kriek (New Orleans, LA / The Willow School) placed a perfect ball into the 6-yard box where center defender
Ilsa Newland (St. Louis, MO / Kirkwood) was there to slam the ball into the net. Only a minute later, Kriek found herself taking another free kick from the other side of the field, once again, playing a perfect ball for center defender
Kylie Harris (Missouri City, Texas / Ridge Point) to fire the ball into the net. The Tigers set themselves up on a scoring spree in the second half of the match, with the total shot count being 29-1, in favor of the Tigers.
