Preview

The Tigers host their second consecutive weekend series this weekend against Rhodes College. The series could decide who takes the SAA regular season title and in turn, who gets the top seed in the conference tournament. Game one will be on Friday, April 24th at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 25th will have a doubleheader with the first pitch of game two of the series scheduled for 1 p.m. and the series finale at 4 p.m.

On the Rhodes College Lynx: Rhodes enters their series against the first-place Tigers one game back of Trinity, and controls their own destiny for the SAA regular season title. The Lynx have yet to lose a series in SAA play, and are coming off a series win against Millsaps. In their most recent game against Belhaven, Rhodes won 17-6 and showed how prolific their offense is. No one in the SAA has scored more runs this season than Rhodes, and part of that is because they've hit the 24th most home runs in the nation with 37. 13 of those home runs have come from standout first-year Corbin Martens, who also leads the team in RBI with 50. The Lynx have also held their own on the mound this year, as they rank in the top 100 in the nation in ERA, WHIP and strikeout to walk ratio. This will be the first time since 2011 these teams have met, and Trinity leads the all-time series 62-16.
