ABILENE, Texas – The Trinity University women's soccer team wrapped up its West Texas road trip with a 3-1 win over McMurry on Saturday morning, improving to 6-0 on the season.
The Rundown
The Tigers never let up, outshooting McMurry 27-5 on the day, including a 10-2 edge in shots on goal, and holding a 14-3 advantage on corner kicks. Trinity took a 1-0 lead into halftime before adding two more goals in the second half.
Madisyn Barganski (Corpus Christi, Texas / Flour Bludd) opened the scoring in the 13th minute off an assist from
Daryan Willyard (Austin, Texas / Lake Travis). Barganski struck again in the 46th minute volleying it in the back of the net off a feed from
Maggie Hartnett (San, Antonio, Texas / Alamo Heights) and
Elie Kriek (New Orleans, La. / The Willow School) to extend the lead to 2-0.
McMurry got on the board in the 75th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1. Trinity had the answer just three minutes later, as
Erin O'Donnell (Southlake, Texas / Carroll) earned her first collegiate goal, putting the ball in the top corner in the 78th minute from an assist from
Talia Camin (Houston, Texas / Memorial) to close out the 3-1 win.
