Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

Abilene, Texas - The Tiger women's tennis team lost a 9-0 decision to Division II's third-ranked Abilene Christian University on Saturday, finishing off the ACU Indoor Championships.

Trinity fell to 1-2 on the season, though both losses have come against non-Division III opponents.  The Tigers blanked Hardin-Simmons 9-0 in their only DIII match of the year so far.

The doubles competition started with three points for ACU, which won 8-3, 8-5, and 8-3, respectively.  Trinity's Caroline White and Kylie Hornbeck came close to stealing at point at No. 2 doubles with the 8-5 defeat.

White and Hornbeck also lost at Nos. 3 and 4 singles against ACU.  All six of Trinity's singles matches were straight-set losses, with both Hornbeck and Gabrielle Roe suffering their first defeats of the season in singles.  Roe lost at the fifth position on Saturday.

Trinity returns to action on Valentine's Day, February 14, hosting St. Mary's (TX) University in the team's 2013 home debut.  Following a road trip to Austin, Texas, to face St. Edward's on Friday, the team will return home for a pair of matches against Tyler Junior College and Laredo Community College on Saturday, February 16.
